If I had to boil down what my art work is all about, three words would capture the essence: believe and let go.
In fact, these three words have been central to my personal journey. Too often, I didn’t believe.
I didn’t believe in my artistic abilities or in other aspects of myself and in turn, I didn’t believe in others. The result was not beneficial to anyone, especially me.
I was drawn to these three words when I adopted my daughter, Leila. I learned that parenting was more about believing and letting go than anything else. Children, like art, are a mystery to live, not a mystery to be solved. Hopefully a beautiful and vibrant young woman will result in my daughter, thanks to my growing ability to believe and let go.
